Let it snow!

It snowed for a few days but it is all gone now. The kids did enjoy it while they could!

The kids break the wishbone

Head to Head, Kaden and Karson breaking the wishbone. You don't even have to guess who won. Mister lucky, himself. Poor Karson. I don't think it has ever cracked on her side.

Kyle's Tacky Sweater Contest

Kyle's work had a tacky Christmas Sweater Contest. We looked and looked but I couldn't find a tacky sweater so I made something up so he could wear it and not feel left out. Tell you the truth, I never thought he would actually wear it. But he did! Didn't he look so cute?

Our Santa Visit

We went to try and see Santa. Khale has told us she would NOT be sitting on Santa's lap but I was hoping we might be able to convince her. Our adorable town had a Christmas gathering in the town square. They had stilt walkers and dancers and Elves and Santa. WE stood in line for about 30 minutes but you can see for yourselves how that worked out for us. Karson and her friend Katelyn took the opportunity to get close with Santa.

So the next day we decided to try it again. WHY? you ask.....I don't know, we answer :) We went to the mall and stood in line again. This time I had a big game plan. Khale loves to ride the Christmas train. I told her if she sat on Santa's lap and said "cheese" we would let her ride the train. This time she did sit on santas lap and she did say cheese....but she didn't smile and it lasted all of about 30 seconds. I haven't scanned the one and only picture we were able to get into the computer yet but truly, you aren't missing much. The Santa was scary. My two other children couldn't be bothered and Khale wasn't happy about the whole situation. BUT the picture I took after she got off Santa's lap, when she was told she could ride the train, was super cute. It doesn't take much to make a Mom happy.

She loves the train so we are going with Christmas Train pictures this year instead of Santa Pictures. Much love!

Ohhhhhh Christmas Tree!

We built this house with Christmas in mind. Kyle wanted to have a big entryway so that he could buy the kids a really big tree and see it from the outside. Of course we were all on board. So as Christmas was approaching, the kids were buggin about the tree. We went last weekend to cut our tree down and what an experience. We weren't sure how big we wanted to go but we knew it had to be bigger than we have ever had before. Okay, so Kyle summed it up with one word.....OVERKILL. It seemed big when we picked it out but as you can see from the other trees around it....it wasn't the largest. It seemed a little large as Kaden dragged it back to the car. It was getting even bigger as we tried to tie it to the top of the car. BUT when we put it in the tree stand and stood it up in the house, it was gianormous! What were we thinking????? We had to share the massive size of this thing. I will send more pictures as soon as it is decorated.

Decorating the house

We have decorated a few areas of the house.( Thanks Mom for the nice entryway table) I thought we would post before we go making a bunch of changes to decorate for Christmas and have to post those pictures as well. Life changes so quickly around this place, you best not blink!

Also a few pictures of brother and sister taking care of the baby....in their own way.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a very nice Thanksgiving. Even though I came down with a horrible cold, I still had a great time making turkey dinner. It was a BLAST in my kitchen. I made rolls from scratch for the first time. I thought they turned out.....acceptable and edible at least. We had a nice relaxing day. I starved the kids so they gobbled up by the time dinner was done. Kaden ate an entire turkey leg. Well, he is a growing boy. He is taller than I am (not saying much). All and all, I am thankful for my family and friends and all of our good fortune and health. Much love to all,

Tiffany
