Went camping

Khale helping Brother play cards. My kids are so good to each other. Mac looking for food :)
The dog learned to rough it for the first time. He did fine, and surprised all of us because we know how he has to be pampered.

The kids card games became pretty serious... I taught them to play BS.

The family went camping with our friends, The Millers and The Leightys. We had so much fun and camping with the baby and the dog was not difficult at all. We stayed close to home to try out this camping thing with the whole family because in two weeks we are going camping with Grandma and Grandpa and we wanted to be certain we were up for it. But Khale loved camping and can't wait to go again. We will have to do a little better with the packing situation because we had to run home twice to pic stuff up that I forgot to pack. But we made it home in one trip! I never would have believed so much could be stuffed into a Ford Explorer! So in two weeks we head out to Natural Bridge Virgina to do some real camping and I can't wait.

More Pics of the 4th.

An albino deer we we saw while we were out letterboxing. We went to a deer farm. It was beautiful!
Khale eating at the barbecue.
The kids 4th outfits.
Happy 4th of July, Ellingson Family.
Kyle's crabby patty birthday cake. The best part about this cake....it had a cherry filling that was fabulous!

Kyle's Birthday and 4th of July.

Kade is a bit old for this but he humors me!

July 4th was a ton of fun this year. First we went Letterboxing. If you get the chance I want to encourage everyone to take some time to head out. It is lots of fun. But if you are our Pennsylvania friends, watch for poison. Anyway, we found two letterboxes and got the stamps. Karson and I are going to put one together and hide it in the next few weeks. It was fun for the whole family. Anyway, next we went to our friends house, The Millers, for a Barbaque. We ate and ate and ate and then we had cake. Kyle wanted a crabby patty cake so Karson and I did the best we could. Then we let off Fireworks. Khale just loved the fireworks and I had to let her walk up with me to light them. This year Kaden seemed bored and Karson let off most of the fireworks, until she became tired. At the end of the night we sat around listening to an all request 80's night on the radio. The boys called the radio station to request a song but instead were asked if they wanted to answer the quiz question. Kyle got the answer right and won a prize from our radio station at like midnight. It was lots of fun. Oh yeah, Khale fell asleep early so we put her in the wheelbarrow to sleep.
