Some New Years photos and Dorthy and the late Pablo

I wanted to add a few photos of our New Years Eve party. We had a few friends over and played games and ate junkfood. It was good times. The kids had a blast at midnight letting off noisemakers and stringing fetti all over my yard. If you can believe it, Khale stayed up until around 1 AM. SHe is such a diehard.

The kids got a few gift cards for Christmas and they decided to go against my "no new pets" policy and bought a fish tank. They got everything they needed by themselves and put it in the baby's room. I was proud of them for actually agreeing on something and sticking with it. We got two really cute fish but one, we are sad to say, Pablo, did not last the week. However, Dorthy, is doing fine and seems happy in her Elmo fish tank. Today is tank cleaning day so we will see how truly tough she is going to be. I will keep you posted.

Kaden goes 80's!

Kaden went to a girl's birthday party and she had a getting back to the 80's party. He had to come up with a costume and although I was there and I lived it, I had a hard time remembering what it was exactly that we wore that made us distinctively 80's. Kaden decided he wanted to look like some of the Rockers from that time. We settled on Brett Michaels. It was easier for me to look at someone and get him to look like that. If you think back to that time......he really does look like Brett Michaels. For those of you who don't remember, Brett Micheals was the lead singer of Poison. SO what do you think?
Oh, by the way, he took first place in the costume contest but not until he had to moonwalk someone for it. Good times.

My future American Idol

Watch out American Idol!!! My sweet baby girl is headed your way. So what if she can't carry a tune. We love her anyway.

Khale at Elmo Live!

Kyle and I took Khale to Pittsburgh to see Elmo Live. It was such a cute show. I would recommend getting tickets to anyone with the opportunity. Khale just loved it. When the show started she instantly jumped up on her chair, waved her arms, and yelled "Elmo, I over here!" Kyle and I laughed at her through the whole show. We were able to get really nice seats and the characters came down off the stage and shook hands with her a few times during the show. It held her attendtion the entire show and she is still talking about it. I wouldn't trade that day for anything. I have to hold on to those baby days because she is my last one :)

Christmas

While we didn't have anything near the "white Christmas" we were hoping for (and our Washington and Utah family and friends were covered in the stuff) we still had a fun Christmas. On Christmas eve we stayed home and opened our jammies and slippers and played video games as a family. It was fun.

Christmas day the kids got us out of bed at 3:30 ....yes that is A.M. They just had to see what Santa had brought them. Kaden got the football jerseys he had asked for. Karson got a fancy camera, video card, and a stylin studio. Khale got elmo live and a potty chair. She was very into the whole experience. She had difficulty opening presents so she started using her teeth. I have said before that she is a very resourceful one year old.

I wanted to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity during the holiday season. We feel truly blessed to have so many people care for our family. The kids had such a great Christmas this year. Between the wonderful presents and the gift cards....the got everything on their lists and then some. Thank you again for thinking of us. You were all in our hearts and prayers as well.
