Okay so I started a new job and it has been super overwhelming. The kids are getting ready for school. My in-laws are here.(bless their hearts) My work hours are long. The baby is starting daycare. Blah, Blah, Blah. I go to bed so early because I seem to need extra sleep to adjust to all the changes. Next week my inlaws are leaving and there goes my support system. But I will cope. I am certain, I will cope.
Long story short. I wanted to get a few pictures of our fun vacation to Natural Bridge, VA posted before it is old news. I am so glad we were able to take off for one last hoopla before returning to the rat race. And the best part of all....the vacation was completely funded by my garage sale (well that and Grandpa Don) I do want to say that if you ever get the opportunity to camp at a Yogi Bear Camping facility, you have to go. It was tons of fun for the kids. They had activities for the kids all day long.
Not to mention a swimming pool, sprinkler area, water slides, a fishing lake, a swimming lake, a river, and Yogi Bear and Boo Boo visiting your site to say hello. Khale just loved the whole weekend and the older kids had a good time too. We really didn't have to leave the camp spot but we did travel all that way to see Natural Bridge and all the exciting stuff in the area so we took a day for that as well. The hike to the Natural Bridge was easy so the baby and Grandma could go along. But then we decided to head up to the water fall, miles up the path. The hike up was fine but then the water fall wasn't really that eventful and THEN the baby fell asleep and Kyle, Kaden, and I had to take turns packing her all the way down. INTERESTING. I took the kids to a haunted house and we had to pound on the door to get out (don't know what I was thinking) It's a super funny story if you want me to tell it sometime. We went to the Dino park next door, which was also scary but fine. And last but not least, we letterboxed on the way there and while we were out camping in the area, so we had tons of fun with that. My favorite letterbox was at a cemetery that was established in the early 1800's. Kyle tried to tell me that we were being disrespectful but the kids and I were having so much fun with the clues we wouldn't listen to him. It was so fun and I have some super cool pics from the adventure. Oh yeah, and we went through a wax museum that really had Khale freaked out. But she and Kaden had to get there picture with the was Obama. Then Khale went to the car and told her Dad she was "chillin with Obama". It was cute. I am certain I will think of more that we did but at least I finally posted a bit of our vacation. Hope everyone is getting ready for back to school. Much luck as I know we need it.
